It is not unheard of for auntie virus software to falsely report that particular software has a virus.
For example, NAV reports that two of my own templates have a bloodhound virus merely because each contains a single instance of the WordBasic Kill statement.
I've also seen problems due to merely using late binding or using the VBE in code.
Currently, I only use NAV 2004, so I have no idea how other AV software will react to my code, nor can I predict what will happen using earlier/later versions of virus definitions.
I use NAV because I believe it has the largest market share.
Any ideas on what are the market shares of other AV products?
Any guidelines posted on how to best avoid false positives? I doubt that this info is available from the AV software vendors.
What AV products do you folkes use to test for such things?
