Hi, is there a way to make your pivot table stay with your selection.
I filtered my pivot table to a certain item that I want to see and I just have to copy and past new data in and refresh it. But when there's a new selection available on the data, the pivot table will automatically select the new data also. Is there a way to make it to stay with my selection?
thanks

It is not clear to me what you are saying, regarding the selection and so on.
If yo do not refresh, nothing changes.

Example, currently my revision column only has 3 categories, A, B, and C.
In my pivot table, I set it to filter out to only display revision A. However, when i update my data source, there maybe a revision D now. because D was not on the initial data source, now my preset pivot table will automatically add D to show instead of just A.

D only shows if you refresh the pivot. Of course, if the extra dat might include more/amended As I guess you have to refresh it.
Not much you can do I guess, that is how the pivot works. Maybe you could write some code to catch the current filter values for Revision, refresh the data, re-apply the filter. All sounds a bit of a chore to me.
