Hallo,
my access program needs comctl32.ocx. Since i changed to windows 7 this ocx cannot be read properly anymore. I registered it with windows which worked out fine. Still compiling Treeview or Statusbar does not work anymore (errors all the time). One time I tried mscomctl.ocx instead but i immediately got a message "not compatible". I programmed this access database with Ofice 2000 (maybe it is even older, I cannot remember). It worked under XP.
Can anybody help?

Hi all, I just got the certain feeling that the reason for my databasa failure had to do something with my VB installation. I could not install my old VB 6.0 because of incompatibility. So I surfed the internet, and somewhere I found Visual Studio Express 10.0, as freeware. I installed it, ran my database and .... it works again! Obviously with this new VB I do not need all these old OCXs anymore.
