I need a custom graph to represent timelines similar to those found in MS Project. BUT...I need to do it in Excel.
Example:
I will have a spreadsheet with anywhere from 20 to 100 rows of data.
Col A will have an identifier number
Col B will have a start date
Col C will have a start time
Col D will have an ending date
Col E will have an ending time
The left edge of the graph will represent a selected date. Each element of the graph will represent a specific item by identifier number shown in reference to the selected date. such as...
item 1 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
item 2 XXXXXXXXXX
item 3 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
item 4 XXXXXXXXXXXX
etc.....
MS Project does a pretty good job of representing the items, but it means we have to do the data entry "again". OR, can we use the data from an Escel Spreadsheet as the datasource for a MS Project file???????
Advice please
