novice to this
i have a access in MSO2000 which will get updated daily
a table named CAP_Payment is with the following contents
Rcptno, Rcptdt, Bacno, amount, Paymode, Bankcd, Docno, Docdt, Name, Mobileno, Bankname, type and few others not of much importance
i need to view the same daily in a excel sheet based on query 'from' 'to' date
this wil be helpful to find duplicate entries
and custom sum based on Type and Paymode (cash&cheque/DD)

I am assuming you have the query completed.
If that is true, what is the queries name?
If the query is completed, and you just want to view it in Excel,
Lookup the OutputTo command in the help:
[VBA]DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputQuery, YourQueryName, acFormatXLS, "NewBook.xls", True[/VBA]

Why do you need Excel to find duplicates and sum?
All that could be done in Access.
