byundt: First Excel Genius!!

Brad Yundt, or byundt, has hit the mark of Excel Genius at Experts-Exchange!

Heck. They didn't even HAVE an Excel-specific topic area over there for a long time. I remember when both byundt and brettdj showed up over there, and started showing everybody up over there!! Had they still been around EE, Brad and Dave really would've given calacuccia, Ture, cri and antrat (Dave Hawley) a run for their money!

Brad achieved this goal in short order!!

Way to go, Brad!

Thanks for putting up the announcement Dreamboat. It's a significant milestone, but there are more Excel questions now than there used to be, and you get more points for an answer--it's not at all comparable to the achievements of the old-timers you mentioned.

I'd put you up against them any day, Brad. You have one thing in abundance that they all had in short supply: patience.

Brad,

sorry that I missed this announcement when it was first posted...
Congrats! That is one heck of a chore to have accomplished!
Patience and tolerance...LOL!

Way to go!

Dreamboat once said that she liked to answer five questions a day at one of the support web sites. If you really stick to it, slow and steady like that really does rack up some amazing totals after a year. The accomplishment is really more persistence than anything else.

You know you're really in trouble when the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be the headlight of a train hurtling towards you

The major part of getting the right answer lies in asking the right question...

Made your code more readable, use VBA tags (this automatically inserts [vba] at the start of your code, and [/vba ] at the end of your code) | Help those helping you by marking your thread solved when it is.

It charges to search and to post questions. It is free if you answer questions and get enough points each month.

AFAIK, you can view all you want. But if you want it ad-free, and you want to ask as many questions as you want without answering any, you do have to pay.

I have my own problems with that place, but it's still a very nice milestone for byundt, particularly when he'd been up against the likes of Ture and some others that had been over there for years. byundt and brettdj both kicked some major butt over there.

Brad,
Great job on the Genius Level. After being over there for a couple of months myself, I can appreciate the dedication it took to reach a 1,000,000 point. They should add some more levels, just to keep the genius going. Here's my suggestions.
2,000,000 Evil Genuis
10,000,000 MAd ExcEL ScienTISt
20,000,000 Supreme Being

Congrats.
Cal

Well, going by Cal's new suggestions, Brad has just hit EVIL GENIUS!

The recent renewal of this thread was great (as he actually hit Genius last July). We can now celebrate him hitting 2,000,000points!!!

There is a congratulatory thread for him here:

Way to go!
